It provides an efficient way to design courses, enable 24/7 access, enable interactive learning opportunities, communicate with & among students, provide resources, & create assignments & quizzes. AsULearn can also be used to host forums & to alert students of upcoming due dates & events.


audacityAudacity is a free open source program that enables the user to record & modify audio tracks. The program is avaliable for many operating systems including Windows, MAC OS X, & Linux. Audactiy enables you to edit a variety of different sound files, modify the audio you're working with using numerous effects, & much more.



BefunkyBefunky is a free & easy to use comprehensive online image editing software. It is a simple option for editing & enhancing images for websites, infographs, presentations, etc. There are 3 categories: photo editor; collage; & designer. Simple to use, with a majority of the functions being free.







CamtasiaDownload from the Appalachian State's Software Center on your PC. Screen recording, mobile video and video customization has a multi-track timeline, visual effects, animation and green screen effect. Camtasia has multiple sharing options to enable greater access diversity. It is strongly recommended that you review the tutorials to get started and gradually experiement with the multitude of features offered.



diigoDiigo (deego) is a bookmarking, knowledge & research sharing tool that mimics the ease of taking notes while providing a network for sharing & discovering information. It allows you to take personal notes & highlight text information on web pages just as you would on a piece of paper.

Easel.lyProvides a format for the creating and sharing infographs, flyers and posters. It offers a variety of templates from which to create & organize information to represent ideas & concepts in visual formats. Inforgraphs can be portrait, landscape, mobile or a size of your choice. Tools are displayed at the top on an options bar for easy access. Most media files can be uploaded and added to your creation.



padletPadlet is an discussion/poster/note board that allows people to share their thoughts & ideas both in class & remotely. Submissions can be anonymous or require submission identification. Most forms of content can be submitted including : images, videos, documents, & text from any device. Personal note taking & to-do lists are other pertinent uses.


PanoptoPanopto Focus is a presentation capture platform that lets users capture, edit, stream, archive and share recordings. This media video capture software solution is available as licensed software for enterprises or individuals. Using Panopto you can record quality audio and HD video. Capture your screen output and slide presentations. You can broadcast lectures or recordings live from your laptop.

Wix.JPGWix allows you to create websites, blogs, E-portfolios, etc. with ease. Using Wix's drag and drop editor you can create a website to fill any need. The free version offers numerous templates for modification, or you can begin from a blank template.
